Juxtaposition happens when there are two or more elements connecting in a scene that either contrast with each other, or one element contributes towards the other to create an overall theme. It’s a really good way of making what could have been a boring photo into something much more interestinga. The experienced viewers are looking for this kind of cohesive relationship featuring: people’s expression and body language, social aspects, associating elements that belong to the same idea, writings (e.g. from billboards or any street signs),  shapes and patterns,  color, etc..
