My shadow or my reflection photographs, span virtually my work as a symbolic language. The narratives contained within these photographs confronted me with descriptions of my Self. I can be both behind the camera and in front of it. So, there is an interplay between the shadow and the part of the world inside framing. By imposing my shadow, I participate in the story and the composition. I photograph and am photographed at the same time. My shadow is proof that I was in two places at the same time and introduces a factor that enhances the composition. I must say that I did not invent anything new. Big names in photography like Lee Friedlander and Vivian Maier (for example) took many photos with their own image.
